Softball Game Preview: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Rocky Mount Academy Eagles

Harrells Christian Academy is 1-9 against Rocky Mount Academy since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Crusaders will head out to face off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Harrells Christian Academy has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Harrells Christian Academy managed to slip by Faith Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Crusaders lost 12-2 to the Patriots on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Crusaders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Anna Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mount Academy came up short against Halifax Academy on Thursday and fell 6-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rocky Mount Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landry Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Rocky Mount Academy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-6. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Harrells Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against Rocky Mount Academy in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 11-7. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
