It was a good run, but KIPP DC Legacy College Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 58-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Digital Pioneers Academy Pythons. The Bulldogs were probably out for revenge after losing 73-60 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Digital Pioneers Academy found their leader in freshman Kenneth Borders, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points and four steals. Borders has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamden Jones, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

KIPP DC Legacy College Prep's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 14-1 and their overall record down to 17-4. As for Digital Pioneers Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
