Softball Recap: Diboll Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nacogdoches last Friday, Diboll came back down to earth. The Diboll Lumberjacks came up short against the Groveton Indians on Tuesday, falling 15-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Lumberjacks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Diboll saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Vasquez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Vasquez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Diboll's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Groveton, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Diboll will challenge Douglass at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Groveton, they will take on Fairfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
