It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sealy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Gatesville Hornets 37-6. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Kane Killough, who rushed for 113 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. AJ Cepon was in the mix too, providing Sealy with two scores.

Sealy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Gatesville to a completion percentage of just 40%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Cepon, Elijah Sanders, and Brady Cranfill, who each logged two passes deflected. Sealy wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 68.8%.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Sealy, bringing their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.8 points over those games. As for Gatesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.

Coming up, Sealy will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Roughnecks have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. Gatesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
