Preview: Norton Panthers vs. Revere Minutemen
The Norton Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Revere Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Norton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Ravenna as Norton made off with a 39-16 win. With Norton ahead 32-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Willig, who picked up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Buddy Willig, who rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Meanwhile, Revere owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 26-0 margin over Roosevelt. Revere's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Norton's victory was their 11th straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 11-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.7 points per game. As for Revere, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
