Softball Recap: Downtown Magnets Takes a Loss

Downtown Magnets was the 52-42 winner over Annenberg when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Downtown Magnets came up short against Annenberg on Friday, falling 29-21. Even if the Suns couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Downtown Magnets is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.7 runs this season. As for Annenberg, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Downtown Magnets is set to face off against their familiar foe USC-MAE at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Annenberg will challenge rival Orthopaedic at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
