Baseball Recap: Crab Orchard Comes Up Short

Crab Orchard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Massac County Patriots.

Crab Orchard saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Tuthill, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Hayden Troxel was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Crab Orchard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Massac County, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Crab Orchard will be playing at home against Pope County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Massac County, they will challenge Mt. Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
