After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calexico, Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Imperial Tigers 3-2. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Central who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 16-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-9.

Central's win bumped their record up to 20-13. As for Imperial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 18 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-22 record this season.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Imperial, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Hoover on the 6th.
