Richmond Christian had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot on Thursday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights. Surprisingly, this marked the Warriors' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

While Richmond Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-8, 25-16.

Richmond Christian found their leader in sophomore Lucy Russell, who had seven aces. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Russell.

Richmond Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Richmond Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Richmond Christian will challenge Grove Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Isle of Wight Academy at 6:30 p.m. on September 8.
