After flying high against West on Tuesday, Heights came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 22-21 on Tuesday. Even though they lost, the Falcons' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Zoe Wallace stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Keane, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.
Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for West, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-11.
Looking ahead, Heights is taking a road trip to take on Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for West, they will be playing at home against Olathe East at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
