Basketball Game Preview: Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers vs. Independence Knights

Lebanon Trail is on a three-game streak of home losses, Independence a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers will host the Independence Knights at 5:45 p.m.

Lebanon Trail came up short against Heritage on Tuesday, falling 53-31. While losing is never fun, the Trail Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 835th, while the Coyotes are ranked 394th).

Meanwhile, Independence can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 53-41 victory over Frisco.

Lebanon Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Independence, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Lebanon Trail strolled past Independence in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 45-29. Will Lebanon Trail repeat their success, or does Independence have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
