Softball Recap: Valley View Gets the Win

Valley View won the last time they faced Wallenpaupack Area and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Buckhorns. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Grace Munley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Coral Kelly, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.

Valley View's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4-1.
