Basketball Recap: Edgewood-Colesburg Comes Up Short

Edgewood-Colesburg lost against Maquoketa Valley back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings were outmatched by the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats and fell 66-39. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Edgewood-Colesburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Maquoketa Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Edgewood-Colesburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maquoketa Valley, they will be playing at home against South Winneshiek on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as South Winneshiek comes in on six and Maquoketa Valley on five.
