Soccer Game Preview: Amundsen vs. Taft

The Amundsen Vikings will square off against the Taft Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Amundsen's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Taft has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Amundsen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Solorio a 2-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Taft won against Leyden on Wednesday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Monday. The Eagles won by a goal and slipped past Westinghouse 2-1. Taft haven't had any issues with Westinghouse recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Amundsen's victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for Taft, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Amundsen was able to grind out a solid win over Taft in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 3-1. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
