On Tuesday, Owyhee faced Middleton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Owyhee Storm walked away with a 50-38 win over the Middleton Vikings. The Storm's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Owyhee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maiya Hardy, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikale Roy, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Owyhee was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Middleton only racked up five assists.

Middleton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miley Steele, who had nine points and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Elsie Wyatt, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points.

Owyhee pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Middleton, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1.

Owyhee will square off against Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Owyhee is facing Meridian at the right time seeing as Meridian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Middleton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 78-25 victory against Vallivue on the 12th.
