The Lockwood LIONS started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against the Laurel Locomotives. They fell 27-15 to the Locomotives on Thursday. Lockwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Lockwood still got an impressive performance from Tyce Casterline, who rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

Lockwood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Laurel, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Lockwood will head out on the road to face off against Havre at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Havre will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Laurel will take on Dawson County at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Dawson County is ranked 30th, while Laurel is ranked 15th).
