Soccer Recap: Floyd County Takes a Loss

Floyd County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Alleghany Cougars.

Floyd County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Alleghany, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Floyd County is set to square off against their familiar foe James River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Alleghany will face off against rival Carroll County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
