Basketball Recap: Telluride Comes Up Short

Telluride was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crested Butte Titans. The Miners were not able to make up for their defeat to the Titans from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Telluride still got an impressive performance from Langston Silbergeld, who went 8 for 15 en route to 19 points and seven boards. Those 19 points gave Silbergeld a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Nieto, who posted 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Telluride's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Crested Butte, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Telluride didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-32 victory against Mancos on the 6th. As for Crested Butte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-42 win against Ridgway on the 7th.
