Fort Bend Marshall won the last time they faced Crosby and things went their way on Friday too. The Buffalos skirted past the Cougars 17-14. Given the Buffalos' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Cougars are ranked 375th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Crosby had strong showings from Lott Robison, who threw for 219 yards and one TD, and Nehemiah Jordan, who picked up 112 receiving yards and one score.

Fort Bend Marshall has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 28 points this season. As for Crosby, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Marshall will square off against Randle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buffalos will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Crosby, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
