Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Franklin's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Franklin picked up another tournament win on Monday. They strolled past the Palm Springs Indians with points to spare, taking the game 59-43. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Indians are ranked 251st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aiden Rollins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 10 on his way to 14 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Sandy, who posted eight points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Palm Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-54 win against Antelope on the 4th. As for Palm Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-41 victory against Beckman on the 3rd.
