Recap: Hurricane Tigers vs. Delta Rabbits
Even though the Delta Rabbits scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, the Hurricane Tigers still came out on top. Hurricane managed a 72-66 win over Delta. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hurricane.
Leading Hurricane to victory were Rj Hurst and Cayleb Jackman. Hurst scored 26 points along with eight rebounds, while Jackman dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hurst pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brigham Kemp, who scored ten points.
Several Rabbits players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bronco Bundy, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds. Jaytn Brough was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory got Hurricane back to even at 4-4. As for Delta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hurricane will face off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 257 points over their last four matches. Delta's road trip will continue as they head out to face Emery at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Emery is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
