Basketball Game Preview: Bandys Trojans vs. Lincolnton Wolves

Bandys is 9-1 against Lincolnton since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bandys Trojans will be playing at home against the Lincolnton Wolves at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Lincolnton will be up against a hot Bandys squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Bandys simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Bunker Hill 69-24. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Bandys relied on the efforts of Lexi Vaughan, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 17 boards, and Addison Bell, who posted 21 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Bell's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Haley Cross, who earned seven points along with five boards and five steals.

Bandys smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Lincolnton on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew West Lincoln out of the water with a 64-21 final score. That 43 point margin sets a new team best for the Wolves this season.

Bandys' win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Lincolnton, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-11.

Everything came up roses for Bandys against Lincolnton when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 72-44 win. In that game, Bandys amassed a halftime lead of 44-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
