After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lemont, Dunedin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Northeast Vikings by a score of 5-2. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Dunedin got a great performance from Cian Roche as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Roche has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, Aiden Sherifi was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Dunedin's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Northeast, they now also have a losing record of 9-10.

Dunedin and Northeast could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Falcons will square off against Northside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (261 vs. 101). Meanwhile, Northeast (ranked 279th) will meet Bullitt Central (ranked 42nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
