Volunteer is 0-5 against Greeneville since September of 2015 but things could change  on Friday. The Falcons will look to defend their home field  against the Greene Devils  at 7:30  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Greeneville will  square off against  a team with plenty of momentum: Volunteer extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Falcons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chuckey-Doak 70-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Falcons just coasted through the last quarter.

A big part of Volunteer's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Lincoln Wilson and his top target  Raymond Landry. Wilson threw for 308 yards and four  touchdowns while picking up 15.4 yards per attempt while  Landry gained 184 total yards and five touchdowns. Wilson's passing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 308  passing yards.  Amarion Graves was  Wilson's top target, picking up 98 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.
 Volunteer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. It was a group effort, with five picking up one apiece. They got some further help from  Christian Wilson: he made six total tackles (6.0 for loss).
 Greeneville's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to Sevier County last Friday. The Greene Devils took their  game  with ease, bagging  a  62-7 win over Cherokee. The Greene Devils haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
 Volunteer's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Greeneville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-1.
 Volunteer was taken down by Greeneville 56-0 when the teams last played  back in September of 2023. Can the Falcons avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
