Basketball Recap: South O'Brien Takes a Loss

If South O'Brien was riding high fresh off their 69-26 takedown of Trinity Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The South O'Brien Wolverines fell 74-64 to the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals on Tuesday. The loss was the Wolverines' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, South O'Brien fell to 2-1. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South O'Brien will head out to square off against St. Mary's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in South O'Brien's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, they will venture away from home to take on Hinton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three matches.
