Recap: Raines Vikings vs. Ribault Trojans
If the Raines Vikings were feeling good off their 52-19 takedown of the Riverside Generals on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Raines took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ribault on Saturday. It was the first time this season that Raines let down their fans at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ribault to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leniya Greene, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Kayla Massey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Raines' loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5. As for Ribault, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Raines will take on Menendez in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. Menendez will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Ribault will be home for the holidays to greet Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Paxon School For Advanced Studies is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
