Basketball Recap: Walthill Comes Up Short

Walthill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 67-52 to the Omaha Nation Chiefs. The Blujays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Walthill's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Omaha Nation, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walthill will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Nebraska Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on February 21st. As for Omaha Nation, they will challenge Tri County Northeast on Saturday. One thing working in Omaha Nation's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
