Softball Recap: Rock Falls Comes Up Short

Rock Falls came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the North Boone Vikings. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Maddison Morgan was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season.

Rock Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for North Boone, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rock Falls will challenge rival Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, North Boone is set to face off against their familiar foe Byron at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
