Preview: Fullerton Indians vs. Buena Park Coyotes
The Fullerton Indians will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Buena Park Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. Fullerton is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
After soaring to 36 points the game before, Fullerton were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 45-7 loss at the hands of La Habra. Fullerton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.
The losing side was boosted by Deshawn Cobbs, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Buena Park's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 14-13 victory over Sunny Hills.
Jaden Moore got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Moore really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Fullerton's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Buena Park, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Fullerton against Buena Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 41-12 victory. Will Fullerton repeat their success, or does Buena Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
