Central Valley is 10-0 against Hopewell since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Central Valley Warriors will challenge the Hopewell Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Central Valley is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Gateway just ended the team's seven-game winning streak two weeks ago. They took a hard 50-34 fall against the Gators. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Gators are ranked 202nd).

Meanwhile, Hopewell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Quaker Valley, falling 61-40. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central Valley fell to 7-1. As for Hopewell, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Central Valley took their win against Hopewell in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 55-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
