Volleyball Recap: Mayer Comes Up Short

Mayer lost against Mogollon back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Mustangs, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-6, 25-18.

Mogollon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylee Mosley, who had ten digs and one assist. Those ten digs gave Mosley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabella Hoops, who had nine digs and one assist.

Mayer's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Mayer is taking a road trip to take on Salome at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mogollon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against St. David on the 29th.
