Recap: George County Rebels vs. Mobile Christian Leopards
The Mobile Christian Leopards typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the George County Rebels proved too difficult a challenge. George County came out on top in a nail-biter against Mobile Christian and snuck past 42-39. The victory was familiar territory for George County who now have three in a row.
Despite the loss, Mobile Christian saw an underclassman step up: Hadley Kelly dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Kelly is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Caroline Booker was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
George County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Mobile Christian, they have yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 7-1 record.
George County will take on East Central at 5:30 a.m. on Friday. East Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Mobile Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Blacksher at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blacksher and Mobile Christian are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
