Basketball Recap: Trinity Skates Past Hull-Daisetta with Ease

It was a proper cat-fight when Trinity duked it out with Hull-Daisetta on Thursday. The Tigers blew past the Bobcats, posting a 70-16 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 36 points or more this season.

Mariah Tyson had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Trinity is 6-1 when Tyson posts eight or more boards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Bree Davidson, who shot 45% from the field on her way to 15 points.

Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points over those games. As for Hull-Daisetta, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Trinity won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hargrave at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hull-Daisetta, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Big Sandy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
