Basketball Recap: West Has No Trouble Against Bishop Montgomery

The West Panthers strolled past the Bishop Montgomery Knights with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 54-35.

Laite Latu continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Falatea, who posted seven points along with 12 boards and eight assists.

West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

West's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bishop Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will welcome Cedar Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Montgomery, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rolling Hills Prep at 7:00 p.m. The Knights' defense better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 55.2 points per game this season.
