The home team had won the previous four meetings between Granite City and St. Louis HomeSchool P, and Granite City kept the tradition alive. The Warriors skirted past the Patriots 3-2. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one run.

Granite City's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tuff Bradley, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Nathan Hopper was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Granite City's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite City will face off against Collinsville at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, they will take on Sikeston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
