Baseball Game Preview: Allen Park Jaguars vs. Anderson Titans

The Allen Park Jaguars will face off against the Anderson Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Allen Park has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Allen Park's offense. They fell just short of University Liggett by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

Allen Park got a good showing from Matthew Lieb, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Lieb has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Allen Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Sclater, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Huron.

Allen Park's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-1. As for Anderson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Allen Park skirted past Anderson 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
