Wayland faced Westfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Warriors walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bombers. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Bombers back in May, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Despite the loss, Westfield still got an impressive performance from Nolan Rodgers, who had 23 digs. Rodgers is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Wayland and bumps their season record up to 14-8. As for Westfield, they moved to 21-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Wayland is taking a road trip to take on Agawam at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Brownies will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. Westfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
