Basketball Recap: East Takes a Loss

East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 59-33 to the South Gallia Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tartans of the 58-42 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

East's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for South Gallia, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East will take on Southern in a tournament on Thursday. As for South Gallia, they will head out on the road to square off against Oak Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Gallia knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Oak Hill likes a good challenge.
