Bellaire beats Houston Math Science & Tech for their third straight win

Recap: Bellaire Cardinals vs. Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers

The Bellaire Cardinals entered their tilt with the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Bellaire strolled past Houston Math Science & Tech with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 38-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bellaire also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

Bellaire's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chance Diebner led the charge by rushing for 119 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 82 yards and a touchdown. Diebner was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Hazen, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.

Bellaire's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Bellaire will head out on the road to face off against Chavez on Thursday. Chavez is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Heights at 12:00 p.m. Heights will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
