It was a proper cat-fight when Fairview took on Seneca on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by  a  13-0 margin over the Bobcats. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Tyler Benford was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits any time he's  pitched this season. He was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news, Fairview let  Robert Benford and  Andrew Stevens run wild. Benford  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Stevens  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Benford a new career-high in  RBI (two). Another player making a difference was  Kadyn Szelewski, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Fairview was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seneca only posted a  batting average of  .000.
Fairview now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Seneca, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Coming up, Fairview will host Mercyhurst Prep  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Seneca, they will hit the road for the first time this season to  face off against  Girard  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
