Softball Recap: Falls Lake Comes Up Short

Falls Lake lost against Roxboro Community back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Falls Lake lost 12-2 to Roxboro Community. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Falls Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Roxboro Community, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Falls Lake will welcome Oxford Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oxford Prep's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Falls Lake's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Roxboro Community, they will head out to take on Cedar Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roxboro Community's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cedar Ridge has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
