Basketball Game Preview: Beau Chene Gators vs. Church Point Bears

Beau Chene is 0-5 against Church Point since December of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Beau Chene Gators will head out to take on the Church Point Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Beau Chene was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Ville Platte.

Meanwhile, Church Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-29 heartbreaker at the hands of Rayne. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Wolves are ranked 107th).

Beau Chene's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Church Point, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Beau Chene took a serious blow against Church Point when the teams last played back in November of 2021, falling 53-25. Thankfully for Beau Chene, Shaine Parker (who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 17 boards, and nine blocks) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
