Football Recap: Stephenson Eagles vs. Brimley Bays

If Stephenson was feeling good fresh off their 52-12 takedown of Rapid River last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stephenson Eagles had to suffer through a 38-8 loss at the hands of the Brimley Bays. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

A big part of Brimley's victory came down to the chemistry between Trey Lynn and his top target Gus Vonseggern. Lynn threw for 121 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes while Vonseggern picked up 114 receiving yards. Vonseggern's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 111 receiving yards.

Stephenson's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Brimley, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

As of now, neither Stephenson nor Brimley have any future games scheduled.
