Softball Recap: Alleghany Comes Up Short

Alleghany has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.42 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since April 5th.

Alleghany's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Wilson Memorial, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

Alleghany does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilson Memorial, they will face off against Staunton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
