Softball Game Preview: North Branch Broncos vs. Standish-Sterling Panthers

The North Branch Broncos will head out to square off against the Standish-Sterling Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, North Branch needed a bit of extra time to put away Algonac. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Muskrats. The game was the first time the Broncos have beaten the Muskrats on their field since May 17, 2022.

Meanwhile, Standish-Sterling was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They blew past Shepherd 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory got North Branch back to even at 1-1-1. As for Standish-Sterling, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.
