Baseball Recap: Sheffield Takes a Loss

Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 12-4 to the Trezevant Bears.

Sheffield's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Trezevant, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-1 record this season.

Sheffield is taking a road trip to face off against Overton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. As for Trezevant, they will be playing at home against Bolton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Bears' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Wildcats have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
