Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trent). They breezed by the Lueders-Avoca Raiders on the road to the tune of 54-8 on Thursday. With the Gorillas ahead 26-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Trent found their leader in underclassman Michael Wallis, who rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and a touchdown. Those 202 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Wallis. Brayden Cathey got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Trent wouldn't let Lueders-Avoca keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. Wallis led the group effort, picking up two of those forced fumbles all by himself.

Trent's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lueders-Avoca, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trent will take on Moran at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trent is facing Moran at the right time seeing as Moran is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lueders-Avoca, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Aspermont at 7:30 p.m. on October 17th.
