Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles vs. Sheridan Rams

The Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles will face off against the Sheridan Rams at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Liberty Tree Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Ascent Classical Academy on Saturday. The War Eagles came out on top against the Guardians by a score of 50-41. The War Eagles haven't had any issues with the Guardians recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Sheridan strolled past Denver Academy with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 75-56.

Liberty Tree Academy better keep an eye on Bobby Garcia. He was instrumental in Sheridan's win, going 10-for-21 to rack up 25 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. Another player making a difference was Noah Gallegos, who posted 17 points along with five assists and five steals.

Sheridan was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

The win got Liberty Tree Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Sheridan, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Liberty Tree Academy's way against Sheridan in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Liberty Tree Academy made off with a 57-37 victory. Do the War Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
