Volleyball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Eagles vs. Whitefield Academy Lions

The Heritage Christian Eagles will face off against the Whitefield Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Christian will be strutting in after a win while Whitefield Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Heritage Christian made easy work of New Hope Christian and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The final score came out to 25-3, 25-4, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Whitefield Academy came up short against New Hope Christian on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Phoenix 25-15 in the first set.

Whitefield Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21.

Whitefield Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Heritage Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Heritage Christian took their win against Whitefield Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
