Volleyball Recap: Mayfield Has No Trouble Against North

Mayfield won the last time they faced North and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rangers.

One reason for the win was Mayfield's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-15.

TAYLOR SIMMONS paced Mayfield's offense, picking up 13 kills. SIMMONS got some help from ANNABEL ROBERTS and her 27 assists. ZOE ROCCO controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Mayfield's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for North, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Mayfield and North will both be playing Riverside the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rangers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
